ベラミスの剣
古代ギリシャ神話時代、永遠のライバルといわれた戦いの神、ベラミスとマルスはその実力において全く互角であり、幾多の死闘を経ても決着はつかなかった｡ある時マルスは一計を案じ、試合前密かにベラミス愛用の剣をそっくり同じ形ながらほんのわずか重い剣に取りかえた。それと気づかぬベラミスは普段よりわずかに重い剣のためおくれをとり敗れ去った｡極限まで互角の二つの力が競いあう場合、どんなにささいな事であれ狂いを生じればそこに優劣が出来てしまうということである。
