　TDRで働く全員が共有している「会社として大切にするべきことと優先順位」＝行動規準は、私のこれまでのコラムで何度もご紹介してきた。英語の頭文字を取ってSCSE（エス・シー・エス・イー）と呼ばれる。「Safety（安全）」「Courtesy（礼儀正しさ）」「Show（ショー）」「Efficiency（効率）」だ。効率は上記3つを心掛けてチームワークを発揮することで、お客様が楽しむための効率を高めるといった意味で使われている。

　行動規準の4項目は、その順番に重要な意味がある。優先すべき順位を表しているのだ。ディズニーランドといえば、一般的にはショーのイメージが強いだろうが、彼らが最も大切にしていることはゲストの安全だ。2番が礼儀正しさで、3番がショー。安全確保で精一杯なら、礼儀正しさやショーが後回しになってもいい。ただし安全が確保できたら、ゲスト一人ひとりの『夢の王国』実現に向けて、それ以外もどんどん実践していこうとされている。

　TDRが最も安全にこだわるのには理由がある。ゲストが不安な気持ちでパークを楽しめるわけがないし、もしも園内でけがをしてしまったら、『夢の王国』どころか悲しい思い出になってしまう。だから安全はすべてに優先されるべきとしているのだ。
